Manshuin Monzeki

Approximately 1.1 kilometers northeast of the property, there is a Buddhist temple called “Mansyuin-monzeki”. In autumn, the stair that continues to the temple is covered with autumn red leaves and it makes you fascinated. There are also several hiking courses around this area for quick exercises.

Location for the Legendary Duel

This is a well-known place where Musashi Miyamoto, one of the greatest swordsmen in Japanese history, fought with an opponent from the Yoshioka family. This place also appeared in the 1964 movie Miyamoto Musashi: Ichijoji no ketto.
