◆About Toji Temple◆

A world heritage site with the official name of "Kyō-ō-gokoku-ji" that was found 1,200 years ago. It's mainly known for the five story pagoda and its association with Kobo Daishi (Kukai) who founded the Shingon school of Buddhism and was put in charge of Toji Temple in year 832.

◆Flea market on the 21st every month◆

Every month on the 21st is a day tribute to Kobo Daishi, and flea market "Kobo-san market" is held in Toji Temple throughout the day. Antiques, ceramics plates or vases, hand-craft goods, there is something special for everyone in the market.
