Aid for seismic retrofitting of wooden buildings and Kyomachiyas in Kyoto city, a rehabilitation plan by Kyoto city tailored to the structural characteristics of the Kyomachiya (traditional construction method) built before 1950, subsidizes part of the cost used on earthquake retrofitting.

Warm up the living room with wood stove

The wood stove warms the entire house from the living room looking over the garden. It adopted Denmark's HWAM Intelligent heat system that burns the firewood at the bottom part and used as oven at the top part. (Miyama Wood Engineer Co., Ltd.)

Sit quietly at edge of the wood deck, then cross the stepping stone to enter the tea room. You can enjoy a full-fledged tea ceremony with a dedicated mizyua storage and alcove featuring Kitayama cedar wood logs.

We incorporate wet area that allows you to do daily housekeeping comfortably. Dishwasher and dryer in the kitchen, cabinet to replace dish rack on the back, and the washbasin unit that has storage shelves so you can start living without having to purchase additional furnitures in a hurry.

Shimogamo Shrine

World heritage site Shimogamo Shinto shrine existed before the Heian period. Together with Tadasu No Mori, it attracted countless tourists domestically and internationally. One of the three biggest festivals in Kyoto, "Aoi Festival" also takes place in the Shimogamo shrine.
