A cheerful and lovely creature that jumps up and down, a rabbit (Usagi in Japanese). The “Usagi Project” named after such cute creature aims to to support girls (sometimes boys) to purchase their own home.

Rabbit huts may sound small and difficult to use, but we want them to be compacted and fun. Decorate these houses with your favorite things and enjoy a lifestyle that is simple but fulfilling!


Twin Rabbit Hutch

Two Kyo-machiyas side by side with almost the same land and floor area. However, through renovation we were able to give both of them unique characteristics on the inside, just like twins with similar appearances but distinctive personalities.

The two houses locate in the Nishijin area where craftsmen used their homes for both working and living.

In such area, the south hutch comes with a spacious entrance area where its resident can use it as an atelier or working space for different projects.

The north hutch focuses more on the living room and kitchen area where its resident can invite friends over and transform the kitchen counter to a bar counter.



The working space paved in concrete floor is the unique point of the south residence. It can be used as an atelier to get creative or even as a shopfront when you feel like having people over. At the end of the day (tunnel), you can still relax in the living room or Tatami room on the 2nd floor with the the warmth of the timber.
