Twin Lodging Machiyas
Introducing two Machiya lodges built and designed on the theme of baths.
Each is designed with the theme colors of Indigo blue and Vermilion red, and the artworks that match each color are displayed to elaborate the space even more.
The west side (lot number: 258) is Indigo blue, and the east side (lot number: 258-7) is Vermilion red. It seems to have been inspired by the color of shop curtains of traditional Japanese bathing houses.
Almost half of the first floor is designed for bathing, and a compact and relaxing space is secured on the second floor.
These two lodges are packed with the charms of Japan, and your guests are sure to be healed and comforted from the fatigue of traveling.

The Indigo blue lodge's bathroom allows you to feel the outside atmosphere while staying indoors. You can enjoy both the indoor and outdoor baths. The kitchen space on the second floor has a top light, making it a natural and bright space. The wall is also decorated with artwork with the motif of Mt. Fuji, which is also aimed at the role of a borrowed landscape where you can see the scenery indoors.

A modern impression building with a selection of interiors and accessories in Vermilion red. The artwork on the wall of the second floor is decorated with a motif of carp. Carp is a popular design in the bathing space for a long time, and it is said that it has the meaning of “come” throughout the year from January to December. Maple trees are planted in the garden, and the maple leaves will make the space more gorgeous in autumn.

AREA
The two lodges are within walking distance from the center of Kyoto “Shijo Karasuma” and “Karasuma Oike” and “Kyoto” station. It is a popular area with easy access to major sightseeing spots. There are long-established shops for the Buddhist priests such as Buddhist shop and rosary, and inns and restaurants that have been renovated from Kyo-machiyas.
