The origin of Tokiwa
"It has to be Sagano when speaking of field."
This is a passage from a classic essay, "The Pillow Book", written by the Heian period writer Sei Shonagon (around 966 to 1025).
Since the Heian period, Saga and its eastern corner, Tokiwano, has been a peaceful place loved by many.
The place-name "Tokiwa" is said to be derived from the fact that the Prince of Emperor Saga, Minamoto no Tokiwa (812-854), who is also the Minister of the Left, set up a mountain cottage in this area.
On the 1st floor, there is a parking lot with a carport, bathroom and toilet while on the 2nd floor a kitchen with a significant presence is sandwiched between the dining area and the living room. The 3rd floor is a one-floor Western-style room with tatami space (and a storage space under it). Both the 2nd and 3rd floors have windows on the north and south sides, and brightness can be ensured even when the curtains are closed on the 3rd floor.
Storages is also another significant feature of this house. With 2 walk-in closets and hidden storages under the bench and the tatami space, plenty of storage space is secured throughout the house.
When the weather is nice, you can lay back by putting a chair on the balcony on the north side of the 3rd floor. Currently the 3rd floor is a one-floor space, but you can also add fittings and partitions and divide the area into private rooms
