A Non-rebuildable Machiya in the back alley

An unrenovated Kyomachiya located in the back of an alley facing Bukkoji St., on the east side of the Shinsengumi-related "Mibu Temple". Being worshiped as a temple for exterminating evil and prolonging life, Mubu Temple is crowded with worshipers who come for "Mibu Kyogen" and "Mamemaki", which are designated as important intangible folk cultural properties during the Setsubun period (day before the beginning of spring in the old calendar in Japan).
The building is deteriorated and needs to be repaired before using, but the "Toriniwa" aisle and kitchen still have a quaint design that is typical of a Machiya townhouse.
This is a Machiya that can be used for a wide range of purposes, such as a SOHO residence with the taste that remains in the building, or an investment property taking advantage of its good location. You can also consider it as a residence to move to Kyoto after retirement.

※Internally dismantled with interior finishing in December 2021.
After partially dismantling work with interior materials removed, you can see the condition of the columns and beams of the structural frame.
※Repair works are required when using the building. Old fittings and pillars that retain the atmosphere of the time of construction can be reused.
