One of a four terraced Kyo-machiyas in a quiet residential area.

Although the building is aged and repair is needed, the existing plaster walls, ceilings, log beams, Toriniwa aisle, and other traditional design features remain intact, allowing visitors to fully enjoy the atmosphere of a Kyo-machiya house.
With a total floor area of about 50sqm, it can be described as a "small house", but it will be just right for one or two people to live with careful thought of interior plan within the limited space.

Currently, both the first and second floors are standard layouts with two small Tatami rooms on each floor.
One way to utilize space when renovating is to make it one room per floor. In particular, you may raise the ceiling by taking advantage of the sloping ceilings on the second floor for a sense of openness, making even a small room feel more spacious.

The compactness of the building as a whole may also reduce renovation and future repair costs, making this property a good choice for those who want to make a debut in Kyo-machiya living.

Within a 12-minute walk, there are five stations on three lines: Omiya and Saiin Sta. on the Hankyu Kyoto line, Shijo-Omiya and Sai Sta. on the Keifuku (Randen) Arashiyama mainline, and Tambaguchi Sta. on the JR Sanin mainline. Not only is it easy to access all parts of Kyoto City, but it is also possible to go to the Osaka area by the Hankyu Railway without changing lines, making it convenient for both commuting to and from work on weekdays and going out on weekends and holidays.

Around the station, there are many living facilities such as restaurants, supermarkets, drugstores, 100 yen stores, and bookstores.

In addition, Mibu Temple (approx. 4 min. walk/280 m), which used to be a post of the Shinsengumi, is located just east of the property. Every February at the Setsubun Festival, the Mibu Kyogen performance, which is designated as an Important Intangible Folk Cultural Asset, is held in Mibu Temple. Together with the humorous "Setsubun-no-mamemaki" (bean-throwing ceremony) event, both attract many visitors every year.

The area is also dotted with other historic sites related to the Shinsengumi, making it an area where convenience and a good old townscape coexist.
