The property is located in a very Kyoto-like location facing the stone pavement in Kamishichiken, Kyoto's oldest and most venerable Hanamichi area.
With good use of its current condition, it can be used as a resident with shop or as a lodging facility. Because of the location and the plenty number of Japanese-style rooms, it is also recommended for those who wish to open a culture school such as a Kimono dressing class, Ikebana flower arrangement class, or tea ceremony class.

The 25th of every month is the Ennichi festival of Kitano Tenmangu Shrine, which is popularly called "Tenjin-san". The grounds of the shrine are lined with about 1,000 stalls, crowded with visitors not only from the nearby Kyoto-Osaka-Kobe area but also all over the nation.

In summer, a beer garden is held in the garden of Kamishichiken Kaburenjo theatre, where maiko and geiko entertain visitors in yukata (summer kimono).
