An "Oriyadate" is a Machiya with a weaving workshop which was used to be a weaver's house. The workshop, an open space with a high ceiling for weaving machine, is located in the back of the house from the street to avoid the disturbing sound of weaving. -

You can see the condition of the pillars, beams, and foundation of the structural frame. Although the building has deteriorated and needs to be renovated, its original architectural style remains and some of the old fixtures and pillars can be reused.

The large space characteristic of the Oriyadate building was utilized with a projector installed in the atrium above the living room to create a movie theater atmosphere. The staircase and the upstairs corridor are used as seats for watching movies.
