A Water-rich Area: Fushimi of Kyoto City

Fushimi was once a castle town and a key post town on Tokaido's 57-station route, connecting Kyoto, Osaka, and Nara, and prospered as a vital transportation hub. Even today, the old charm of Fushimi remains, with abundant water resources that led to the production of high-quality Sake. The pure, underground water that contributed to this reputation is referred to as "Fushimizu(伏水)".

This traditional townhouse, which had aged over time, was revitalized through renovation in May 2016 and reborn as an accommodation establishment. This Kyomchiya can be operated as a lodging facility, which can house a maximum of 4 guests.
