不動産をどう使うかは、その不動産単体だけの問題ではなく、その周辺やまちにも大きな影響を与えます。そのエリアやまちをどのようにしていきたいのか考えていくことが、結果としてその不動産の価値を上げることにも通じます。
今回は、下京を知り尽くした3人が、三者三様でまちづくりという視点を含めた不動産の有効活用、そしてみらいの京都のまちについて語ります。

  前 京都市下京区長

  東京生まれ、大阪育ち。大学は西宮で、京都との関わりは就職してから。
  1986年 京都市役所入庁。建築部門を皮切りに、法制部門、政策調整部門から住民参加型プロジェクトの推進まで、これまで13の部署で広範な業務に従事。

  前々職の産業観光局商工部長時代には、中小企業、伝統産業、商業振興を担当。京都市地域企業未来力会議や若手商業者を育成する「みせづくりカレッジ」の創設、ソーシャルイノベーション研究所（SILK）の立ち上げ等に関わる。

  2018年4月からは、梅小路周辺や京都市立芸大移転など全11行政区の中で一番動きのある下京区長に就任。下京区140周年記念事業では区民総ぐるみで3000本の和蝋燭の灯りを梅小路公園に点灯。京都にとって何かしら＋GOODになる「コトおこし」のため、区内各地を奔走し、「フットワークのやっさん」の異名をとる。

  2021年4月から現職。優秀な研究員たちとともに、ものづくり都市・京都を牽引する中小企業の技術開発を産学公連携で支援するほか、伝統産業後継者を育成。ICP発光分光分析装置システム、ガスクロマトグラフ質量分析計など聞き慣れない言葉に翻弄されながらも、地域企業のために日夜奮闘中
