Hachise’s first-ever event for English speakers
living in Japan as well as other countries,
KYOTOITE BOND will be held during Japan’s beautiful cherry blossom season.
The program theme is “No Machiya, No Kyoto.”
This event was designed to draw fans of Kyo-machiya and Kyoto from around the world,
creating a venue where the Hachise Global Team
and our customers can interact and share useful information.
It would be our great pleasure if this event leads to
numerous meaningful and productive connections between people.
We also hope that KYOTOITE BOND will be attended by as many people as possible,
helping to create a greater and greater fan base of people who simply love Kyoto.
We look forward to seeing lots of you there.
A drawing will be held from amongst
those reserving a space for this event by January 31st.
The winner will receive a
one-night stay for two guests

Authentic Tea Ceremony Workshop by Tyas Huybrechts of Belgium
A special Japanese tea ceremony workshop will be held by Tyas Huybrechts of Belgium,
the youngest instructor of foreign nationality to be certified by the Enshu School of tea ceremony at the time he was given the certification.
Using the highest quality dense matcha powdered green tea—which even most Japanese do not drink regularly—this is truly an authentic tea ceremony experience.
Though there are a large number of tea ceremony rules, each has meaning, including
the idea of exhibiting modesty or consideration for the other party.
This is a wonderful opportunity for participants to learn about the Japanese view of treasuring the material things we enjoy in this world, appreciation to the host, and respect for the others in attendance.
It also represents an interesting challenge to learn the sophisticated manners and customs associated with tea ceremony under the guidance of Tyas Huybrechts of The Tea Crane.
